Hair transplantation by automated FUE method is an innovative solution that allows you to bring back the long-lost hair thickness.
Importantly, automated FUE hair transplantation is one of the new methods that involves transferring single grafts and not whole skin patches, which was the case in the pioneering hair transplantation procedures. But that is not all because the FUE method provides considerably higher graft effectiveness, especially hair follicle survival, as well as improving patient comfort due to the definitely shorter treatment duration.
The FUE method hair transplantation can be used both in women and men suffering from balding, progressing hair thinning or hair loss. The treatment is also recommended in hair restoration practice and in post-traumatic balding caused by burns or post-operative scars as well as after chemo- and radiotherapies. This technology can be successfully used for eyebrow restoration and correction (thickening) and is recommended for patients who have previously undergone traditional STRIP transplantation and are not satisfied with the result.

The automated FUE hair transplantation differs from the traditional method in the manner in which hair follicles are harvested for grafting. Instead of cutting out a skin strip (STRIP method), which led to large scars, the FUE instrument performs a very large number of microcuts to the depth of 1 mm and directly harvests the best hair follicles one by one from the scalp (the back and side part), which makes the procedure the least invasive and the safest.
At the second phase of the procedure, during graft implantation, pneumatic heads are used that “shoot” the grafts into microcuts that have previously been made in the scalp. With the large number of micrografts placed very closely to one another, very natural grafting effects are obtained and the scalp is protected against scars. This technology also prevents transplant rejection and allows for harvesting more than a thousand hair follicles ready for grafting.

During a consultation, the doctor carries out a medical interview with the patient and learns their expectations. The patient is referred for tests that will assess their health condition and rule out potential contraindications. Hair transplantation might be preceded by a test to determine the cause of hair loss, if not known, and to evaluate the scalp condition.
2. First hair transplantation procedure
The skin at the planned hair harvesting site is shaved, while the implantation site is subject to local anaesthesia. Consecutive grafts are harvested with an endpiece that uses vacuum, which protects hair follicles against damage. Then, the device's instrument makes 1-milimeter holes in the scalp. Hair implantation is also performed automatically.
3. Subsequent hair transplantation procedures
A decision to perform subsequent hair transplantation procedures is made individually, depending on the area of the treatment site or the number of grafts.
4. Last procedure and result assessment
The first effects of transplantation can usually be seen 2-3 months after the last procedure. During this period, the hair starts to grow. For final effects, one needs to wait from 6 to 12 months.

Is hair transplantation painful?
The procedure is carried out under local anaesthesia; therefore, it does not cause pain.
How does the skin look immediately after the transplantation?
The transplantation site can be reddened and swollen, which subsides within several to a dozen or so days.
How to prepare for the procedure?
Several days before the procedure, you should refrain from drinking alcohol and coffee and from taking blood thinners (aspirins, vitamin preparations). On the day of the procedure, do not apply any cosmetics onto the hair, such as gels, conditioners or hair spray. The patient receives detailed information from the doctor regarding further actions.
How to take care of the skin after the hair transplant?
After the procedure, the skin can be slightly reddened and swollen, but usually there is no need to apply a dressing. For several days after the procedure, you are advised to avoid stimulants, especially cigarettes. If the transplantation was performed on the head, sleep with your head slightly elevated. The hair implantation site can be washed 1-2 days after the procedure without touching the skin, only by pouring it with warm water. Itching can occur for 3-4 days after the procedure, while numbness might sometimes persist for several days to several weeks. For the next several weeks, avoid swimming pools, saunas and sunlight.
